Hi, my name is Alesia! I am a licensed clinical social worker and founder of Hope Within Therapy & Wellness, PLLC. I was born and raised in Northern Kentucky, and I come from a family of 8. I graduated with my B.A. in Psychology in 2005 and then moved to the beautiful mountains of Western NC.  I began working in Community Mental Health in 2006 at an entry level position at Appalachian Community Services, ultimately being promoted to clinical director in Haywood County where I served for 7 years.  During that time, I gained robust experience in the community mental health system, serving in a variety of service definitions with multifaceted modalities and treatment.  I knew I wanted to continue my education, and I eventually graduated from Western Carolina University with my Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree in 2012 with a clinical focus on Trauma.  Following, I continued working in Community Mental Health as a Licensed Therapist and worked in the field until 2016. 

In 2013, a new chapter began with the birth of our first child. I made the decision to step down to part time work as an outpatient therapist to embark on the wonderful journey of motherhood.  Then in 2016 with the birth of my second child, my entire focus shifted to motherhood full time, making the decision to put my career on hold to fully focus on raising our children as we continued to grow our family.  I am now the mom of four incredible children, and have added homeschooling to my resume as well.  I have spent the last 8 years as a full time homeschool mom, and I’ve learned so much about natural and holistic living on the way during my own quest for wellness.   As I continue this incredible journey, my dream is to share both my clinical knowledge and experience, motherhood, and my knowledge of natural holistic living, to continue to serve this wonderful community we call home.  I continue to have a special place in my heart for mothers and the homeschool community, and I want to enhance and give back through this work. 

The foundation of our future is truly reliant on families and children. We need to nurture and support this wholeheartedly.  In addition to therapeutic services, I will provide consultation, education, and resources to the community.  Hope Within is a dream come true for me, bringing knowledge, experience, and passion from many seasons of my life together, to help others on their journey of total wellness find the hope they seek within themselves.  Wellness truly starts from Within.
