Hello! My name is Sarah and I grew up in the Spring Hill community of Canton, NC where I was homeschooled. I graduated from Belmont Abbey College in May of 2023 with a Bachelors of Art degree in Psychology and a minor in Theology. During college, I wrote and presented my senior capstone on the phonological and visual cognitive processes of developmental dyslexia and was given the opportunity to present my own research at several research fairs. I was also a leading member of the psychology club where we remained active in community mental health awareness. After graduation, I became a Registered Behavioral Technician at a clinic for children and teenagers with autism spectrum disorder where I performed applied behavioral analysis therapy in a one-on-one setting. I am currently in the process of applying to a masters program related to the therapeutic field. At Hope Within, I am the clinical assistant, which implies a lot of fun task.
